Content quotas and Offer Showdowns run per calendar month, on monthly and yearly plans alike: they reset on the 1st and unused units do not carry over. Only successful generations and showdowns count. Competitors, keywords, AI questions and users are capacities you keep, not monthly quotas.
Words used on this page
What each line actually means.
- Monthly quota
- The number of articles, social posts and whitepapers Kira can write for you in a calendar month. It resets on the 1st, including on yearly plans. A failed generation does not count; what you do not use does not carry over.
- Offer Showdown
- Your offer against the offer of a competitor you track. Tonaily reads both sites and writes two fact sheets in the same format, with names and URLs hidden: Offer A and Offer B. An AI engine from your plan compares them for 3 customer needs, 6 times each with the order swapped, 18 comparisons in all, without web search. Then the brands are revealed: picks per need, the criteria behind them, and sales copy ready to copy. An AI simulation in a controlled test, not a purchase probability.
- Sequence
- A theme turned into a publishing plan: a main article, the articles around it and social posts, each with a date and a gap between them (for example every 7 days). You approve the plan before Kira writes anything, and can pause or cancel it.
- Competitor tracked
- A site you follow next to yours. Tonaily imports the keywords it ranks for (up to 500 each), shows the gaps you can win, and compares it with you in AI answers. You can swap one competitor for another.
- Time to shine
- A tab of the Keywords page, from Growth. It lists the keywords to write whose publishing deadline falls within the next month. The deadline sits 8 weeks before the search peak, the time a new article needs to rank; a peak is a month weighing at least 1.5 times the yearly average. For each keyword: the deadline (orange with less than two weeks left), the peak month and its multiplier, the volume, the difficulty and a “Write” button that creates the sequence. A passed deadline leaves the list until the next peak.
- AI question
- A question phrased the way a prospect would ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Grok, without your brand name, for example “best design studio for a SaaS redesign”. Tonaily asks it to each engine and checks which brands the answer cites.
- Automatic and manual refresh
- Automatic: Tonaily asks all your AI questions again on its own, without you doing anything: every 7 days on Starter, every 5 on Growth, every 3 on Pro. Manual: you start a new round yourself when you want, as often as your plan allows (every 7 days on Starter, every 3 on Growth, every day on Pro).
- User
- A person with their own login on your account, the owner included. Invite a colleague or a freelancer up to your plan’s number.
- Kira MCP
- MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard that lets an AI assistant such as Claude or Cursor use outside tools. Kira MCP plugs your own assistant into your Tonaily account with a token, so it can read your keywords, sequences and AI visibility. Separate from the free public MCP server, which audits any site without touching an account.
- Tonaily scores
- The SEO score, GEO score, opportunity and difficulty shown in the app are Tonaily’s own indicators, from 0 to 100. SEO and GEO check an article before it ships (what Google reads, what an AI can quote). Opportunity combines search volume, difficulty for your domain and relevance to your business. They help you decide; they do not come from Google.
Frequently asked questions
What is AI visibility?
On paid plans, you define a panel of questions phrased the way a prospect would ask an AI assistant, in generic wording that leaves your brand name out. Tonaily replays them against ChatGPT, Gemini (and Grok on Growth and Pro) and measures whether your brand comes up spontaneously: mentions, AI share of voice against your tracked competitors, and which brand wins each question. 10 questions on Starter, 15 on Growth, 20 on Pro.
Free tools, free account, paid tracking: what is the difference?
Three separate things. The free tools are open to everyone and run once: a site audit, one blog article for your domain (3 ideas, then one article of about 1,200 words), and an AI visibility test that asks 1 question once to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity. The free account keeps your site, your ideas and 2 articles a month. Paid plans add AI visibility tracking over time and the Offer Showdown.
What is the Offer Showdown?
Your offer against a competitor’s, brands hidden. You pick a competitor you already track; an AI engine compares the two anonymized offers on their features and pricing for 3 customer needs, then the brands are revealed with the reasons behind each pick and sales copy ready to use. 1 showdown a month on Starter, 4 on Growth, 8 on Pro.
What is Time to shine?
The seasonal keywords to write now. Some searches peak at the same time every year; Time to shine lists the keywords whose publishing deadline, about 8 weeks before the peak, falls within the next month, with the peak month, its multiplier, the volume and the difficulty. “Write” creates the sequence. On Growth and Pro.
What does Growth add over Starter?
Grok on top of ChatGPT and Gemini, 15 AI questions instead of 10, an automatic refresh every 5 days instead of 7, a manual refresh every 3 days instead of 7, 4 Offer Showdowns a month instead of 1, 3 users instead of 1, Gantt and Kanban views, Time to shine, and Kira MCP. Content quotas and tracked competitors double.
Kira, Kira MCP, free MCP server: what is the difference?
Kira in the app comes with every paid plan: brand analysis, topic ideas, drafts and refresh proposals, inside Tonaily. Kira MCP, from Growth, connects your own AI assistant to your account through an API token. The public MCP server is free and open to everyone: it audits any public website without touching your account.
Is there a free trial of the paid plans?
There is no timed trial: the free plan is the trial, and it does not expire. As a consumer, you can also withdraw within 14 days of subscribing to a paid plan.
